Tourist Attractions in Manhattan



1. On Mon-Sat, purchase same-day tickets for evening performances 3PM - 8PM. On Wed-Sat, tickets for matinees between 10AM - 2PM. On Sundays, matinee tickets from 11AM - 3PM,  evening performances 3PM - closing.

2. Circle Line - http://www.circleline42.com/new-york-cruises.aspx - boat tour of Manhattan. 3 hours for full tour. 2 hours for a partial. Departs 11:30am and 3:00pm. Pier 83, WEST 42nd STREET & 12th AVENUE (212) 563-3200

Ferry Service from New York: Purchase round-trip ferry tickets at Castle Clinton National Monument in Lower Manhattan. Ferries from New York operate on a loop, stopping first at Liberty Island and then at Ellis Island before returning to Battery Park, New York. Open daily.
Battery Park by subway: take the 1 train to the South Ferry station, 4 or 5 train to the Bowling Green station or R/W train to the Whitehall Street station. 718 330-1234.
Ferry Service from New Jersey: Purchase round trip ferry tickets at the Central Railroad Terminal Building and Museum in Liberty State Park in Jersey City, NJ.

4. Rockefeller Center - http://www.rockefellercenter.com/ - Observation deck 30 Rockefeller Plaza 5th Ave btw 49th and 51st St. 212.698.2000 - Daily 8am - 12 Midnight (last elevator goes up at 11pm). Also can get a tour of the building $30.

5. Radio City Music Center - http://www.radiocity.com/ 6th Avenue between 50th street and 51st street. B, D or F subway to Rockefeller Center/50th St.

6. Central Park - http://www.centralparknyc.org/visit/general-info/ - 110th Street to 59th Street and from Fifth Avenue to Central Park West - closes at 1am and opens at 6am. Belvedere Castle is a fun place. Plus there are tons of trails as well as the Shakespeare Garden, and Central Park Zoo.

The last elevators go up at 1:15 a.m. 350 Fifth Avenue New York, NY. (Between 33rd and 34th Street) Subways (1) (2) (3) (A) (C) or (E) to 34th Street/Penn Station. Walk 2 Blocks East to 5th Avenue. (B) (D) (F) (N) (Q) (R) or PATH to 34th Street/Avenue of the Americas. Walk 1 Block East to 5th Avenue

13. Toys'R'Us - Broadway btw 44th and 45th - (646)366-8800 Lego sculptures at rear of store.

14. Bus tours double-decker hop on/hop off bus tours.  GrayLine Bus Tours http://www.newyorksightseeing.com/ got great reviews

15. Times Square - http://www.timessquarenyc.org/ - lots of lights. Best seen at night. On and around 7th Ave btw 46th & 47th Sts

16. Chinatown - http://www.explorechinatown.com/ - small shops galore, very busy. Between Canal & Worth and Baxter & Bowery

17. South Street Seaport - http://www.southstreetseaport.com/ - lots of places to eat. Great views. Fulton & South Streets, Pier 17(212) SEA-PORT
